Rice Milk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice soaked in 6 cups water for two hours
  • 1 t- 1 T honey
  • 1/8 - 1/4 t vanilla
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 1 t oil (coconut, corn, something mild tasting)

Directions

  1. Cook in microwave (covered) for 25 min.
  2. Let it sit overnight.
  3. Heat for two minutes to warm.
  4. Blend on high, liquid and rice.
  5. Makes a thick paste. Add cold water to consistency you want.
  6. Add salt, honey, vanilla to taste (even for plain milk, improves flavor to add 1/8/4 teaspoon).
  7. Add oil and calcium or other supplements you choose.

For chocolate milk- 2 T cocoa mixed with 1/4 c hot water to dissolve. Add to milk with 1/4/2 c sugar, to taste. You might make your chocolate milk a little thicker than regular milk.
